About IAPA

IAPA (International Airline Passengers Association) was formed in 1960 from the need for a voice to speak up for the interests of individual air travellers. In those days, the Association was known as the "Airways Club" and had offices in the Pan American Building (now the Metro Life building) in New York City.

The concept of the organization was to provide certain benefits for an annual membership fee, as well as belonging to an association whose interests coincided with the interests of frequent airline travellers.

From the outset, the Association's outlook was global and its goals have consistently been to provide air travellers with safety, convenience, comfort and economy. IAPA has always endeavored to provide the solution to a problem, whatever it may be.
